Objective Tourism Technology Fund (TTF) is a programme which aims to accelerate technology innovation and adoption in the industry by providing financial support to technology projects that would enhance visitors' experience or improve business efficiency.
The TTF is a S$10 million fund supported under the Tourism Development Assistance Scheme (TDAS). It aims to encourage tourism establishments to harness and adopt technology innovation.
Guidelines The projects may fall under these categories (in alphabetical order), such as:
- Digital Media or In-room Entertainment (For Hotel) Services
- Enhance Mobility Services (m-services)
- Enhance Security with IP-based technologies
- e-Services (web services)
- Identification & Personalization Services
- Location-based Awareness Services
- Self-Service technologies
- Business Networking Services (MICE)
- Tracking technologies (for inventory, crowd control)
For any project related to digital media, the content should be multi-lingual with at least 3 key languages, namely English, Simplified-Chinese (Mandarin) and Bahasa Melayu. Eligibility Criteria
- All applicants should be Singapore-registered entities.
- All applicants should belong to the Hotel, Inbound Travel, Attractions, MICE players, Education or Healthcare services sectors.
- The project must be carried out in Singapore.
Qualifying Costs
- Professional Services
- Equipment, Software & Materials
- Marketing costs
Non-qualifying Costs
- Any hardware & software costs not related to the project (e.g. operating system, anti-virus, Microsoft Office)
- Manpower-related costs (e.g. internal manpower costs, maintenance costs)
- Others (e.g. translation services costs)
Level of Support
- For first-time adopters of a new technology innovation, funding will be accorded up to 50% of qualifying costs. To be considered as innovative projects, the projects should be the first movers / first applicants in the innovation areas, demonstrate the benefits for the respective sectors in the tourism industry and replicable by others.
- For other qualifying applications, the funding shall be up to 30% of the qualifying costs.
The amount of support given is subjected to meeting the conditions and deliverables for award of grant, as determined by STB.
Disbursement of Grants The grant is disbursed to the company on a reimbursement basis.

Applicants are requested to contact STB for more information. Applicants are advised to discuss the proposed project with the officer-in-charge prior to making a formal application. Formal applications must be made on prescribed application forms and submitted to the STB prior to project commencement.
